Do you have experience as a Mechanical & Electrical technician/engineer in a manufacturing environment? Can you work 12-hour shifts? If so, this opportunity at our Prudhoe Paper Mill may be for you.

Our Prudhoe site includes two paper machines, seven converting lines, a recycled fibre plant, and a distribution centre. This role is based in our automated warehouse (DACW Logistics), working a 4-on/6-off, 4-on/4-off 12-hour shift pattern.

About the Role

As a Shift Technician in our automated warehouse, you’ll ensure smooth system operations, lead fault finding and problem-solving, and collaborate with Operators, Team Leaders, and Engineering teams. Your multi-skilled background may also be called upon to support breakdowns in other areas like Converting and Papermaking.

Our warehouse is 11 stories high, so you must be comfortable working at height. Full safety harness and rescue training will be provided.

What You Will Do

Provide technical training and coaching.

Maintain and improve operational efficiency through regular maintenance and root cause problem-solving.

Respond to and repair electrical and mechanical breakdowns on the DACW system, which transports pallets via conveyors and elevators.

Complete shift reports, perform clean/inspect/lubrication tasks, and support housekeeping.

Document process issues and implement countermeasures to prevent recurrence.

Who You Are

Education: Minimum NVQ Level 2 & 3 in engineering (ideally both mechanical & electrical).

Expertise: Results-focused with strong problem-solving skills using RCA methodology.

Leadership: Able to coach and influence Advanced Operators.

Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills.

Flexibility: Willingness to work at height (training provided).

Teamwork: Safety-conscious and collaborative.

Tech Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft packages, WCS, and SAP.
