About The Role
This is more than just maintenance. It’s a chance to be part of a high-performing team that supports the core infrastructure of a site producing household brands like Cushelle and Velvet. You’ll be working with advanced systems, contributing to continuous improvement projects, and playing a key role in ensuring operational excellence.
Reporting to the Site Services Leader, you’ll collaborate with a team of mechanical and electrical technicians to manage and enhance the site’s utilities and infrastructure. From day-to-day operations to long-term projects, your work will directly impact the performance and reliability of our production environment.
This is a permanent, day-based role (Monday to Friday)—ideal for someone who values work-life balance while still being challenged professionally.

What You Will Do
In this varied role you will have responsibility for maintaining the supply of site utilities from an electrical perspective, together with looking after the maintenance of site buildings and offices. The role is varied and will include the following key areas:
- You will manage contractors to deliver site maintenance tasks/improvements – this will include you scoping work, requesting quotes, creating permits, and managing works.
- You will support the production site through undertaking routine, preventative and reactive mainly electrical maintenance tasks.
- You will support necessary works to improve maintenance methodologies and practices.
- You will support the operations in a flexible way – prioritising work daily.
Who You Are
Although it is desirable to have an NVQ3 qualification in Electrical engineering (or equivalent) what is key is that you can demonstrate high competency skills in electrical engineering in ideally both installation and maintenance work.
- Experience of working with contractors successfully and in an industrial environment.
- Excellent communicator and ability to challenge professionally.
- Have a flexible and ‘can-do’ approach with a strong focus on delivering results.
- You naturally succeed in a fast-moving environment where there may be multiple/dynamic challenges daily and you can react quickly and effectively under pressure.
- Experience of fixed wiring inspections and general electrical installations i.e lighting etc.
- Experience of alarm systems, fire protection electrical systems.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Applications (outlook, word, excel).
