As a Store Manager Designate at Vision Express, you will participate in a 6‑month training and development programme designed to groom you for the role of Store Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day‑to‑day store operations, managing staff and ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Maintain store standards and meet sales targets.
  • Handle administrative tasks: scheduling, inventory management, and financial reporting.
  • Recruit for the store with support from Regional Manager and Store Support Centre colleagues.
  • Create a positive and productive work environment, providing training and support to employees.
  • Analyse sales performance data, identify improvement areas, and motivate your team to meet or exceed targets.
  • Provide clear communication and translate professional terminology for patients.
  • Ensure accurate customer records, prescriptions and product recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Eye Care Professionals, Optical Assistants and Management across the store.
  • Work under pressure and handle challenging situations in a fast‑paced retail environment.
  • Support the in‑store recruitment, training and coaching of colleagues.
