As a Store Manager Designate at Vision Express, you will participate in a 6‑month training and development programme designed to groom you for the role of Store Manager.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day store operations, managing staff and ensuring excellent customer service.
- Maintain store standards and meet sales targets.
- Handle administrative tasks: scheduling, inventory management, and financial reporting.
- Recruit for the store with support from Regional Manager and Store Support Centre colleagues.
- Create a positive and productive work environment, providing training and support to employees.
- Analyse sales performance data, identify improvement areas, and motivate your team to meet or exceed targets.
- Provide clear communication and translate professional terminology for patients.
- Ensure accurate customer records, prescriptions and product recommendations.
- Collaborate with Eye Care Professionals, Optical Assistants and Management across the store.
- Work under pressure and handle challenging situations in a fast‑paced retail environment.
- Support the in‑store recruitment, training and coaching of colleagues.
