Your role as a Transition Consultant involves:

  • Growing the volume and value of the Photochromic category for Essilor, driven by a branded approach with the Transitions family of products.
  • Supporting and collaborating with the Lens sales team to challenge customer behaviour and maximize Transitions growth opportunities.
  • Adding value and supporting Eye Care Professionals irrespective of entity or purchasing channel.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Driving differentiation of the Transitions brand and products with all customers.
  • Maintaining a 10-12 week call cycle, ensuring all customers are up to date on product and activities.
  • Understanding each account's current performance, knowledge, and skills in selling Transitions.
  • Constructing mutually agreed development plans with each account to increase dispensing of Transitions products.
  • Reviewing business performance on Transitions regularly with each customer and Essilor commercial colleagues.
  • Using available tools, support programs, and promotions to help ECPs grow.
  • Delivering CET training when required to advance business objectives.
  • Maintaining accurate customer records and reports for relevant accounts in Salesforce.com.
  • Continuously reviewing customer needs and feedback.
  • Acting as an ambassador of Essilor and its values at all times.

Main requirements:

  • Ability to work on own initiative to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven track record of delivering effective training and coaching to change behaviour.
  • Previous experience of training in group and individual environments.
  • Knowledge of ophthalmic lens theory.
  • Successful selling experience essential.
  • Ability to influence others.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data effectively.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Selling and negotiating techniques.
  • Experience of working in practice.

Desirable:

  • Experience of successful sales account management in a related field.
  • Knowledge and experience of marketing theory and its application.
  • Knowledge of lens manufacturing processes, company products, and a good understanding of the UK optical market.

Sales responsibilities include:

  • Managing your territory by understanding customers and products, maintaining an appropriate call schedule, and managing time effectively.
  • Understanding each account's drivers, financials, decision makers, and role responsibilities.
  • Planning for every call, asking questions to uncover needs, and having clear action items and next steps.
  • Understanding optics principles, market impact, and using CRM to manage and grow your territory.
  • Leveraging internal and external networks to build business and personal growth opportunities.
