Your role as a Transition Consultant involves growing the volume and value of the Photochromic category for Essilor, driven by a branded approach with the Transitions family of products. You will support and collaborate with the Lens sales team to challenge customer behaviour and maximise Transitions growth opportunities (for both direct and indirect customers) while adding value and supporting Eye Care Professionals regardless of entity or purchasing channel.

Main responsibilities:

  • Drive differentiation of the Transitions brand and products with all customers.
  • Maintain a 10-12 week call cycle, ensuring all customers are updated on product and activities.
  • Understand each account's current performance, knowledge, and skills in selling Transitions.
  • Construct mutually agreed development plans with each account to increase Transitions product dispensing.
  • Review business performance on Transitions regularly with each customer and Essilor commercial colleagues to achieve category and revenue growth.
  • Utilise available tools, support programs, and promotions to help ECPs grow.
  • Deliver CET training as needed to advance business objectives.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and reports to analyse sales data and market activity, recording all relevant information in Salesforce.
  • Continuously review customer needs and feedback.
  • Act as an ambassador of Essilor and its values at all times.

Main requirements:

  • Ability to work independently to tight deadlines.
  • Proven track record in effective training and coaching to change behaviour.
  • Experience in group and individual training environments.
  • Knowledge of ophthalmic lens theory.
  • Successful selling experience.

  • Manage territory effectively, understanding customer needs and maintaining appropriate call schedules.
  • Understand each account's drivers and financials, knowing decision-makers and roles.
  • Plan calls using a tool to capture notes, ask questions to uncover needs, and set action items.
  • Understand optical principles and how products address them, using CRM to prospect, forecast, and grow the territory.
  • Leverage internal and external networks to build business and personal growth.
