Your role: Following the EssilorLuxottica combination, we have created in 2022 a complete integrated EMEA Indirect Procurement organization covering EssilorLuxottica full scope and, in 2023, integrating Grand Vision entities in EMEA. The whole EMEA Indirect Spend Team is composed of 31 people, covering an Indirect Spend of 1.6Bn€ across the main category pillars: G&A (General and Administration), Marketing and Trade Marketing, IT and Telco, Store Design & Construction.
You will join EMEA G&A (General & Administrative) Indirect Procurement team, an international team of 10 people based in different locations in Europe, representing close to 800 M€ annual spend and multiple categories: HR Services, Travels and Fleet, Payment Solutions, Professional Services, Legal; GNFR (Good not for resale in store), Facility Management, Utilities.
The EMEA G&A Indirect Procurement Team is split into geographical clusters and regional responsibilities, out of which one is the UK/Ireland & Nordics cluster including UK, Ireland, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden transversally covering the Professional Solutions (wholesale opticians business), the Retail Businesses (Sun and Optical owned stores), Operations and Offices.
Within this Cluster, you will manage all G&A categories in your scope of responsibilities developing and implementing regional and local sourcing strategies, managing regional agreements, supplier relationships, identifying synergies opportunities between Essilor, Luxottica and Grand Vision entities while working closely with the Global Category Manager to support strategy definition and implement global agreements in the sub region. You will engage and manage relations with global, regional and local internal stakeholders supporting business decision with procurement analysis.
You will be accountable for almost 120 M€ spend baseline management including around 1200 retail stores related to indirect spend within the UK/Ireland & Nordics Cluster.
- Main responsibilities:
- Accountability: Manage €120M spend across 1200 stores in UK/Ireland & Nordics, covering all G&A categories (HR, Travel, Fleet, Legal, GNFR, Facility Management, Utilities) across Essilor, Luxottica, and Grand Vision (30 entities/sites).
- Category Governance: Oversee UK/Ireland & Nordics category baseline, align sourcing strategies with Global/Regional Category Managers, and ensure KPI-driven governance.
- Optimization: Identify synergies and drive cost-saving opportunities across retail, wholesale, and operations; manage pricing, demand, policy, and process standardization.
- Savings Plan: Lead sustainable savings plan, track and report savings and KPIs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with category stakeholders, enhance procurement centralization and governance.
- Business Support: Provide procurement insights for business decisions, cost analysis, and business case support.
- Project Leadership: Lead local/regional procurement projects, manage requirements, and report to C-level.
- P2P Support: Guide local entities on Procure to Pay (P2P) needs and support group integration.
- Policy Enforcement: Define and enforce EssilorLuxottica procurement category policies.
- Vendor Management: Establish regional contracts, ensure vendor compliance, and optimize the supplier panel for technology and innovation.
- Knowledge Sharing: Foster best practices within EMEA and with other regions (APAC, NA, LATAM).
Must-have requirements:
- Experience: 8-10 years in Procurement, ideally with regional/global Procurement Category Management experience in a multinational environment.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead sourcing optimization projects in complex, multi-country settings, including integration of Grand Vision's €4B retail business into EssilorLuxottica.
- Category Expertise: Skilled in managing various purchasing categories, with a focus on G&A or Retail (HR, Facilities, Consulting, Professional Services, Utilities).
- Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of key Procurement KPIs, P&L structures, business case preparation, make-or-buy analysis, and Procure to Pay processes.
- Problem-Solving & Collaboration: Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative leadership style, adept at managing complex, not fully integrated environments.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite; experience with SAP and Ariba preferred.
- People Management: Will manage 1 direct report for Facility Management and GNFR Indirect Procurement, covering UKI + Nordics (Operations, Offices, Professional Solutions, Retail).
