We are seeking a professional, helpful, organised and dedicated person to join the Office Team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, supporting staff and helping to keep a busy school office running smoothly whilst maintaining a professional attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer phone calls and deal with face‑to‑face enquiries
- Use ICT to communicate with parents, as well as face‑to‑face communication, over the phone or through emails and letters
- Provide general administrative support to a high and accurate standard, including trips, immunisations and after‑school clubs
We are looking for someone who:
- Enjoys working with children
- Has experience of administrative work in a busy office environment
- Has excellent written skills and ICT skills, with the ability to multi‑task
- Excellent telephone manner with the ability to record and pass on accurate messages
- Is able to work as part of a supportive team
- Can communicate effectively with both children and colleagues
- Can maintain a professional manner when dealing with parents
- Can maintain a positive disposition and remain calm under pressure
- Can ensure the safety and good conduct of pupils across the school site
- Understands and complies with confidentiality requirements
- Has ability to follow safeguarding procedures and prioritise students’ welfare
- Has GCSE Maths and English (grade 4‑9 or equivalent)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook or Google essential
- Knowledge of schools MIS system desirable
