About The Role
Planner CDS
Basildon Borough Council
Permanent, Full Time
£29,799 to £42,217 per annum inclusive of fringe
Location: Basildon
Closing Date: 16th October 2025
Responsibilities
- Working with the council\'s planning strategy and implementation team.
- Engaging in a wide variety of planning policy work relating to the future growth of the borough.
- Possibility to work across the wider planning function, including development management and planning policy.
- Attending developer meetings and planning committees.
- Discharging statutory functions and advising on and facilitating effective service delivery.
Eligibility & Development
The post is part of a career development scheme offering progression and development opportunities. Pay band and level of training will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience and education level. The successful candidate must be committed to securing qualifications and to acquiring the necessary technical knowledge to undertake the duties of this post.
