This role is being offered on a hybrid-basis with a mix of school and home working.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed individual to run the administrative side of our over-subscribed large Nursery which caters for children aged 3 months to 4 years.
Responsibilities
- Dealing with all parts of the admissions process
- Processing funding claims
- Inputting fees onto School Money, producing invoices and chasing payment
- Arranging Open Days/Taster Days/Settling-in sessions
- Adding new starters onto SIMS
- Liaising with parents via e-mail, telephone and face to face
Skills and Experience
A strong, proven background in administrative roles is essential, as is the ability to quickly learn new concepts. It is essential to be ICT proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and have good word-processing skills. It is desirable to have knowledge of SIMS database or similar software. The ability to plan and set own workload priorities within defined timescales, plus the ability to work without close supervision. Good written communication skills with the ability to produce high quality documentation. Good level of interpersonal skills to enable liaison with staff and parents. Experience of working in a nursery/pre-school/school in an administrative role is desirable but not essential.

The successful applicant will be confident, calm, a good communicator with a positive and 'hands on' attitude towards their work, together with a generous sense of humour and the ability to work as part of a team and on their own initiative.
