Hours of work: 3pm to 6.30pm (negotiable start time), Monday to Friday, term-time only
Salary: Scale 3 Point 6 - £10,543 per annum (payable in 12 equal monthly instalments)
We are looking for a hardworking, reliable and enthusiastic individual with a passion for working with babies and children to lead the extended provision based in our wonderful Nursery. The extended provision covers our daycare (babies and toddlers aged 3 months-2 years), extended nursery hours (children aged 2-4 years) and after-school club (children aged 4-9 years). The post holder will be responsible for all areas of the extended provision; however the emphasis will be on the children within our Early Years.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the needs of each child are fully met, ensuring their safety at all times, ensuring that accurate records are kept and communicated efficiently and effectively with parents, engaging with the babies and children in aspects of play and conversation, setting up activities for the children to take part in and meeting and greeting parents and providing them with feedback on their child\'s time at the club.
The post holder will ensure that all staff in the team strictly adhere to the School\'s Safeguarding Policy and Procedures at all times.
The successful candidate should be confident in working with babies and children, planning and leading activities, enjoy leading a team and possess the following skills and attributes:
- Hold a full and relevant Early Years Level 2/3 qualification (preferable);
- Hold a current 12 hour Paediatric First Aid qualification (desirable);
- Have previous experience of working with babies and children in a childcare setting (desirable);
- Be enthusiastic and organised with excellent communication skills and be able to use their own initiative (essential);
- Be fun-loving, caring, responsible, compassionate, committed, creative and responsible (essential);
- Be a flexible team player willing to take on various tasks as required (essential).
