- Position Overview
Pastoral Assistant – responsible for delivering pastoral support to students and parents in positive behaviour, attendance, physical well‑being and overall care to enable learning progress.
The role will be part of a job share, working two‑to‑three days a week during term time, non‑pupil days and up to six summer holiday days, beginning September 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pastoral support for the allocated Key Stage students.
- Assist the Pastoral Leader with administrative tasks for relevant year groups.
- Collaborate with external agencies to address student welfare concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, behaviour, and wellbeing interventions.
- Participate in school induction, training and development programmes.
Qualifications & Experience
- A proven track record of strong administrative and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of a school environment, policies and procedures, particularly attendance.
- Experience dealing with external agencies or advisory services.
- Enhanced criminal record check (DBS) required.
