  • Position Overview

Pastoral Assistant – responsible for delivering pastoral support to students and parents in positive behaviour, attendance, physical well‑being and overall care to enable learning progress.

The role will be part of a job share, working two‑to‑three days a week during term time, non‑pupil days and up to six summer holiday days, beginning September 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide pastoral support for the allocated Key Stage students.
  • Assist the Pastoral Leader with administrative tasks for relevant year groups.
  • Collaborate with external agencies to address student welfare concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, behaviour, and wellbeing interventions.
  • Participate in school induction, training and development programmes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A proven track record of strong administrative and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of a school environment, policies and procedures, particularly attendance.
  • Experience dealing with external agencies or advisory services.
  • Enhanced criminal record check (DBS) required.
