About the School
Monkwick Junior School is proud to be part of the Sigma Trust. It caters for pupils aged between seven and eleven from the south of Colchester. The majority of children live in the Berechurch ward but an increasing number come from outside the school’s catchment area.
Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Office Manager to become a vital part of our caring community and help us provide a safe and happy learning environment to every child.
Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will work 37 hours per week. This is a 39‑week‑per‑year role, which includes term time plus non‑pupil days.
- Overall responsibility for all work undertaken by the administrative support staff, to allocate and monitor workloads, and ensure appropriate training for all new office support staff.
- Identification (where appropriate) and allocation to admin staff of new tasks.
- Administration in relation to admissions, including communication with parents/carers and providing data to Essex County Council.
What We’re Looking For
- Successful experience of administrative work in a busy office environment.
- Experience of development, management and operation of administrative systems and ICT packages, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work accurately with attention to detail.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a positive and successful way.
