Responsibilities:
- Provide clerking services at Full Governing Board meetings (usually 6 meetings per year)
- Produce meeting agendas with the Chair(s) of Governors and the Headteacher
- Write minutes for meetings
- Advise governors on governance matters
- Support the Chair or co‑chairs of governors, the Headteacher and the Governing Board in exercising governance responsibilities and delivering agreed governance policies
- Attend other meetings as required, such as hearings and appeals
Qualifications & Skills:
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Previous experience in governance or administrative support is desirable
- Willingness to undergo safer recruitment checks and clearances
Compensation:
Salary is based on an average of 6 hours per meeting for 6 meetings per year plus holiday pay, resulting in £670‑£740 per annum. Further or additional hours, if and when required, are paid at the same rate.
