About the role
We’re looking for a reliable and organised Governance Clerk to support governing board meetings across schools within our Trust based in the Ongar, Halstead and Chelmsford areas.
Responsibilities
- Attend governing board meetings
- Take accurate minutes
- Complete post‑meeting administration and distribute minutes within an agreed timeframe
Qualifications
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Experience in clerking, administration, or governance desirable
- A background in education advantageous

Work Schedule
4 evening meetings per school each academic year, held during term time in the evenings. Hours include meeting attendance and minute writing.
