Position Start Date: Immediate. Contract Type: Part-time. Contract Term: Permanent. 25 hours per week – Term Time (39 Weeks). Application Close: 17/07/2026.

The Chelmsford Learning Partnership is a Trust of 11 schools and is seeking a highly organised, proactive Finance Assistant to work in our central office and play a vital role in keeping our schools running smoothly and efficiently.

What you will be doing

  • Providing financial assistance and support to the Trust and schools and assist with the day-to-day running of the department
  • Supporting budget monitoring and financial reporting
  • Administering school trips and ParentPay systems
  • Maintaining records and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
  • Providing high-quality administrative support across trust operations

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experienced in finance, accounting, or financial administration
  • Educated to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
  • Confident using financial systems and IT packages
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines
  • A clear communicator, able to liaise effectively with staff and stakeholders
  • Calm under pressure and a strong team player

You will also bring

  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills
  • Confidence supporting and advising staff on financial matters
  • A commitment to high professional standards, confidentiality, and accuracy
