We are looking for casual Wilder Learning Officers to join our Wilder Learning team and facilitate delivery of birthday parties and informal learning activities at locations across the county. This role in the Wilder Learning Team is responsible for delivering birthday parties and other informal learning sessions as part of our wider programme. This includes, but is not limited to, birthday parties, family activities and holiday club.
Through their delivery, the role holder will play an important part in promoting the work of Essex Wildlife Trust. As a casual Wilder Learning Officer you will host birthday parties, deliver our events programme, support our wilder holiday club, prepare resources, liaise with guests, maintain equipment and carry out admin tasks related to the role.
Depending on your location you will be based at either Abbotts Hall or Belfairs Nature Discovery Centre, supporting delivery across our sites in either North or South Essex, principally at weekends and during school holidays. The successful applicants will work alongside our Wilder Learning colleagues at Essex Wildlife Trust in a dynamic, inclusive, and inspiring environment.
You will have highly developed organisational and relational skills, experience of leading groups in education activities, and a passion for widening access to nature. We are recruiting a casual worker under a casual worker agreement. There are no set hours under a casual contract and any available hours are made available to casual workers to accept or decline. Casual hours will be available as and when there are bookings. These can be between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Sunday, all-year round. The majority of available hours are likely to be at weekends and during School Holidays.
