The role of a Police Constable can be demanding but it\’s that variety which makes it one of the most rewarding jobs around. Every day presents a new challenge and you\’ll deal with different situations, ensuring public order is maintained at all times.
You\’ll be responsible for the protection of life and property as well as the prevention and detection of crime. Working as part of a close team, you’ll help to serve and protect the diverse communities and businesses of Kent.
Join #TeamKent as a police officer and you\’ll receive a starting salary of £32,907 (which includes a £3,000 South East allowance).
To join the Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP), you must:
- have, or be working towards obtaining, an Honours degree (level 6) qualification or above, in any subject (except the pre-join degree: Degree in Professional Policing), from a recognised higher education establishment. Candidates who apply pending completion of their qualification must receive formal confirmation of their official grade by the end of the current academic year.
- meet the eligibility criteria for becoming a police officer and pass the online assessment. See the official recruitment page for more information.
