An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to undertake the role of Team Leader, Uniform & Reception based at the Kent Police Headquarters in Maidstone. We are looking for a proactive, customer-focused Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day running of the Uniform Stores and Kent Police College (KPC) Reception function. You will supervise two small teams, support service delivery, and ensure uniform and equipment needs are met efficiently and professionally.
The Team Leader position requires confident, personable and effective communication skills as regular engagement with staff and officers of all ranks, internal and external stakeholders is a consistent responsibility of this role.
Essential skills and experience:- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Proven ability to supervise the daily work of a small team
- Experience of uniform and police equipment (or similar regulated/controlled stock)
- Good working knowledge of IT systems and confidence using digital tools
- Strong problem-solving skills, including scoping and evaluating alternative products
- Experience working with suppliers, monitoring progress, and holding to account for agreed lead times
- Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace
- Knowledge and understanding of Police environment

We are looking for someone who can be flexible in their approach to working hours, but the role will primarily be 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, 7.4 hours per day, with occasional evening duties.
