An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to undertake the role of Practice Nurse Team Leader within the multi-disciplined Health and Wellbeing Services. The main purpose of this role is to coordinate the delivery of medical recruitment activity for the force, undertaking all aspects of routine medical checks, providing advice and guidance on healthy lifestyles and, where appropriate, referring officers and staff for further monitoring or investigation of potential medical conditions.

This is a highly rewarding yet challenging role that requires the successful candidate to organise and prioritise clinical commitments, therefore strong organisational skills are required, together with the ability to work in a high-activity clinical environment alongside a multi-discipline team. Experience of administering and undertaking a range of clinical functions is essential, in addition to managing a clinical team. This opportunity would suit a highly motivated and dynamic individual who can bring their wide experience to the role.

  • Experience of administering and undertaking a range of clinical functions.
  • An ability to adapt and innovate to maximise care, efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Adherence to data protection and confidentiality requirements whilst promoting organisational health, safety and wellbeing at all times.
  • Experience of leading a clinical team.
  • Desirable:
    • Previous experience in a medical role within an emergency service setting.
    • Previous experience in an Occupational Health role.
    • Knowledge of the Police environment.
