An exciting 12‑month secondment opportunity has arisen in EPUT to recruit a Matron – South West Urgent Care Pathway (HTT, MHLT, CRS) Crisis House & Sanctuaries. The successful candidate will be a competent Band 7 nurse with a proven record of leadership, responsible for providing senior clinical leadership and day‑to‑day coordination of clinical practice across the Urgent Care Pathway.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate collaborative working, support, referral and liaison with all professionals, agencies and other parties to deliver the crisis support package within the urgent care pathway, including community and primary care.
  • Ensure safe clinical practice is maintained to Care Quality Commission standards and in line with the NHS Constitution.
  • Work with the entire crisis care pathway to support patients in the most appropriate clinical practice environment from a multidisciplinary perspective.
  • Manage and deliver effective, safe services that support the key elements of clinical and practice governance, continually improving quality and safeguarding high standards of care.
  • Manage a clinical area, providing leadership, supporting staff and working collaboratively with consultants, psychiatrists, doctors, allied health professionals and social work practitioners to deliver high‑quality and safe care.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Band 7 nurse with proven leadership experience; competent practitioner with a record of senior clinical leadership, collaborative practice and governance.
  • Successful candidates will be required to meet COVID‑vaccination requirements as per the Health and Social Care Act.
