A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the Physiotherapy provision within Cumberlege Intermediate Care Unit (CICC). CICC is a 22 bedded Intermediate Care Unit which currently provides 14 stroke rehabilitation beds and 8 intermediate care beds. The long term bed provision is currently under consultation with proposal for either 22 stroke beds or 22 IMC beds. IMC patients have a range of medical conditions including fractures post fall, frailty, parkinsons and MS. We therefore require a skilled and experienced staff member in physical rehabilitation including assessing and treating patients with stroke/neurological diagnoses.

The successful candidate will work as part of a large and dynamic MDT, comprising of Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and Therapy Assistants.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is a Senior Physiotherapist with specialist skills in assessment and treatment of complex frailty patients, stroke/neurological patients and community rehabilitation patients. They will be responsible for the provision, development and co-ordination of Physiotherapy within the Cumberlege Intermediate Care Centre (CICC).

Delivering a compassionate, dignified and respectful service to patients at all times and ensuring that the values outlined in the NHS Constitution are adhered to daily and any matters of concern are raised with the relevant Line Manager or through the necessary processes within the Trust.
