Overview
An exciting opportunity to join EPUT as a Receptionist/Administration Officer. The role is based at Warrior House, Southend and involves reception and administrative duties across multiple sites and our Rochford Hub.
Responsibilities
- Face‑to‑face and telephone contact with vulnerable patients, including making and taking patient telephone calls.
- Providing professional, friendly and efficient reception services at all Trust sites.
- Handling queries from multidisciplinary clinical staff, service users and managers in a polite and efficient manner.
- Maintaining strict confidentiality and recording accurate messages for follow‑up according to department guidelines.
- Admin support: covering email inboxes, completing MDT minutes, preparing letters and general duties.
- Petty cash reconciliation as a day‑to‑day key task.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and safeguarding commitments, including safer recruitment processes.
Qualifications
- Experience of using mental health services.
- Excellent numeracy, attention to detail and high level of organisational and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships and approachable, accessible with a flexible approach to work.
- Valid DBS check (cost borne by employee).
