An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a permanent Administration Assistant at Herrick House, Colchester. We are seeking someone with the ability and confidence to use their own initiative and prioritize tasks. The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills and relevant administrative experience, be flexible, and have attention to detail.

The role involves supporting our clinical colleagues with administrative tasks, providing front-line support face-to-face and over the telephone. It may require traveling to various sites within North East Essex to offer administrative support to our services and receptions.

The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. We offer support, supervision, training, and opportunities for personal development. Candidates should be computer literate with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Full training on our systems will be provided.

We are looking for someone with a positive and compassionate approach to supporting patient care. The role includes handling telephone calls and face-to-face contact with patients, which can sometimes be distressing due to the nature of our services.

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Greeting service users and professionals
  2. Answering calls and monitoring emails
  3. Ordering, booking appointments and transport
  4. Updating clinical systems
  5. Covering reception when required
  6. General administrative duties to the Clinical Teams

Proficiency in Microsoft packages is essential; full training on our database system will be provided. The role involves working collaboratively as part of a team and independently on occasions.
