Overview
We are looking for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our team for one year as sabbatical cover. We are a small team of Physiotherapists and Support Assistants, but work within the wider Respiratory Team to support patients living with long term lung conditions such as COPD, Asthma, Bronchiectasis, ILD, Lung Cancer. The team deliver Pulmonary Rehabilitation classes across West Essex – Harlow, Epping and Uttlesford. We are looking for a Band 6 Physiotherapist for this role, but would consider an experienced Band 5 with an interest in Community Respiratory who would be interested in an acting up role.
Responsibilities
- Lead Pulmonary Rehabilitation classes and clinics across West Essex.
- Carry out comprehensive assessment and walk tests for patients that are referred for Pulmonary Rehab
- Communicate with Respiratory Nurses, Oxygen Nurses and Consultant where appropriate to support with patients treatment.
- Carry a 1:1 caseload for home and clinic appointments for breathlessness management, Breathing Pattern Disorders, Sputum Clearance techniques
- Provide clinical supervision and teaching for junior staff and students.
- Participate in Project work within Pulmonary Rehabilitation as part of the Accreditation process.
