Role Overview
We are seeking a Counselling and Wellbeing Adviser to join Kent Police. In this role you will design and deliver proactive wellbeing programmes, offer one‑to‑one counselling and therapeutic interventions, facilitate group sessions, support psychological screening processes and lead peer support initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, present and evaluate psycho‑education and training sessions for staff.
- Deliver proactive and therapeutic services, including counselling to officers and staff.
- Facilitate groups and peer support initiatives.
- Collaborate with Health Services, Occupational Health and Health and Safety teams to enhance employee wellbeing.
- Participate in psychological screening processes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Accredited Counsellor with the BACP or equivalent.
- If working towards accreditation, a minimum of two years post‑qualification experience, preferably in an organisational setting.
- Excellent written and oral interpersonal skills.
- Desirable: Knowledge of the policing environment.
