Join Essex Police and play a vital role in supporting road safety, processing road traffic offences, and delivering positive justice outcomes across Essex.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process road traffic offences and review supporting evidence and documentation.
  • Assess camera-captured offences and progress cases in line with legislation, policy, and force procedures.
  • Respond professionally, fairly, and empathetically to enquiries from members of the public via telephone, email, and correspondence.
  • Accurately input, maintain, and retrieve information using police systems and databases.
  • Complete case checks, escalation reports, and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with legal and organisational requirements.
  • Support frontline Roads Policing officers through effective administrative and case management processes.
  • Work to performance targets whilst maintaining high standards of accuracy and customer service.
  • Assist with continuous improvement activities and support the development and induction of new team members where required.

Agile Working

Essex Police supports agile working and, where operationally appropriate, this role may offer flexibility in the place of work, including some home working. Regular attendance at the contractual workplace will be required, as agreed with the line manager. Flexible working applications are welcomed and will be considered in line with operational requirements. The level of flexibility available for this role will be discussed during the interview process and agreed following an individual assessment of operational and home-working suitability.
