Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for problem-solving and public service? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Kent Police Insurance Team as an Insurance Technician-a vital role supporting the financial resilience of the Force.
About the Role
This is a dynamic and rewarding position where you\’ll be at the heart of managing insurance claims for the Force. You\’ll liaise with officers, staff, insurers, and members of the public to ensure claims are processed efficiently and in line with policy requirements. You\’ll also contribute to risk management initiatives and provide regular updates and reports to support strategic decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing a wide range of insurance claims, including property, vehicle, and third-party incidents
- Collaborating closely with our insurer\’s claims handling teams on complex cases
- Supporting risk-related working groups and ensuring compliance with insurance policies
- Managing ex-gratia property claims in partnership with Legal Services and Police Officers
- Producing clear, accurate reports and maintaining detailed records

We\’re seeking a highly motivated, well-organised team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook

You\’ll work closely with colleagues across Transport Services, Driver Training, Legal Services, and external partners, including insurers and regional insurance collaborators, to deliver a cohesive and effective service.
