Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role supports the delivery and governance of organisational support services for the Essex Highways Partnership. The postholder will help ensure services are delivered efficiently, providing value for money for our client while contributing to sustainable shareholder value, in line with contractual requirements, tender commitments, and agreed processes. This will be achieved through a collaborative approach built on mutual trust and cooperation.
The Role
- Provide organisational support for Essex Highways, particularly across the following areas:
- Fleet
- Communications Team
- Operations and Maintenance
- Support to depots and Depot Managers
- Assign jobs to tablets when required
- Answer incoming calls, take messages, and deal with general enquiries in a timely manner
- Meet and greet visitors in a professional manner, as required
- Ensure all visitors sign in and out and that relevant staff are informed of arrivals
- Replenish signing-in books as necessary
About You
- A current, valid driving licence is essential
- Experience using handheld technology (e.g. smartphones, tablets) would be advantageous but is not essential
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, both internally and externally
- Experience working in the public eye or in customer‑facing roles would be advantageous
