Ringway Jacobs is seeking a motivated and talented Graduate Engineer to join our dynamic Structures Team based in Chelmsford. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate with strong analytical skills and, ideally, some experience in a design office environment. In this role, you’ll support the team in carrying out structural assessments, inspections, and the preparation of technical reports. Working closely with senior engineers, team leaders, and fellow graduates, you’ll contribute to the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of Approval in Principal and liaise with Technical Approval Team to obtain approval
- Preparation of assessment calculation including structural analysis using computer software
- Preparation of Technical reports and structural drawings
- Carry out site visit to undertake Inspection for Assessment
- For own health, safety and welfare
- Familiarity with DMRB, MCHW and Eurocodes standards
- Basic knowledge and application of Health and Safety legislation including Construction (Design & Management) Regulations
Qualifications
- Conversant with Microsoft applications – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills (including report writing)
- Ability to prioritise own work to support business priorities
- Manages own performance and seeks feedback to improve where identified
