Essex Highways Supervisor

Reporting to Sub Agent / Agent / Construction Manager, you will provide a consistent, visible site presence supervising our Supply Chain Partners (Subcontractors) in the delivery of a variety of schemes throughout Essex.
Your focus will be on monitoring Safety, Quality and Environmental performance of the Subcontractor, while keeping accurate written and photographic records of site activities.

The Role

• To work with team members to deliver maintenance and improvement projects at the required quality and to budget, together with delivery of the communication and consultation requirements of the scheme.
• To co-ordinate and integrate resources to deliver a project or programme, utilising internal staff, shareholder resources, external consultants and contractors as required.
• Experience and confidence of dealing with contractors, members of the public and clients
• Liaise with other team members associated with the allocated schemes
• Have responsibility for ensuring Supply Chain Partners deliver to agreed standards.
• Ensure all projects comply with Health and Safety regulations and CDM requirements e.g Review of RAMS/COSHH, Issue permits to work, carry out site inductions, Promote Health Safety and Environment.
• You can display a demonstrable focus on safety.
• Have experience working in the construction industry, preferably Highways.
• Are previous experience in the supervision of construction sites.
• Have experience undertaking construction work in the vicinity of underground services.
• Have experience in the supervision or operation of traffic management.
