Ringway Jacobs is seeking a passionate and skilled engineer to join our Development Management team, contributing to the Essex Highways Integrated Services contract in partnership with Essex County Council. In this role, you will take the lead in Technical Assurance for developer-designed schemes, ensuring high-quality delivery of planned works. Your expertise will play a crucial part in meeting the challenges of implementing the County Council’s vision and priorities, while providing exceptional service and innovative solutions.
The Role
- Assist the Highway Authority with consultations with the Local Planning Authority for proposed developments.
- Agree detailed designs and ensure planning permission conditions/obligations are met.
- Attend/Chair Meetings.
- Answer site queries / design queries in a timely manner.
- Extensive stakeholder liaison (both internal and external).
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree, HNC, or equivalent high-level qualification, or experience in highways. (Essential)
- Knowledge of managing the design and implementation of highway aspects of major development proposals, including statutory processes. (Essential)
- Knowledge of national guidance, legislation, and regulations related to highway schemes, particularly the Highway Act 1980 and CDM 2015. (Essential)
- Knowledge and application of Health and Safety legislation. (Essential)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. (Essential)
