Join Our Team as a Team Leader – Construction (Cheshire East)
Ringway Jacobs is excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a proactive and experienced Team Leader to join our Construction team in Cheshire East. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and delivering a range of highways improvement and capital works projects across the borough. In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure that supervisors, operatives, and supply chain partners work safely and effectively, leading by example to deliver high-quality results in line with service standards, strategies, and policies. You’ll take ownership of both major and minor projects, managing them from inception to completion while ensuring full compliance with NEC contract requirements, budget controls, and change management processes.
The Role
- Carry out supervision of both self-delivery and SCP gangs to ensure that works are carried out safely and to the highest standard.
- Take ownership of recourse to ensure programmes are delivered to key milestones across the contract and to financial budgets.
- Take ownership of delivery to ensure work is carried out in accordance with Ringway Jacobs specifications and procedures.
- Ability to self-manage priorities and workload using agile/mobile working across the Cheshire East.
- Communicate daily with the drainage support team.
- Good knowledge and application of design procedures, guidance and standards and good practice documents.
- Good knowledge of Construction, Design and Management regulations and application of Health and Safety legislation.
- Good Knowledge of and application of Highway Legislation.
- Previous experience of working with Highways Drainage.
- IT skills to include MS Office, MS Project, Confirm or similar.
