Working on the Cheshire East Highways Term Service Contract, in partnership with Cheshire East Council. The role is responsible for maintaining commercial records, managing key trackers and registers, supporting reporting requirements, co-ordinating subcontract and purchase order administration, and ensuring commercial information is accurate, up to date and readily available to support decision-making. The successful candidate will be organised, detail-orientated, IT proficient, and able to work effectively to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
The Role
- Provide support to the Senior Quantity Surveyors, Commercial Team, Operations Team and Finance Team to ensure compliance with commercial processes and successful contract delivery.
- Process, generate, monitor and administer subcontractor purchase orders, including tracking outstanding or missing orders to meet reporting requirements.
- Maintain finance, commercial and performance trackers, ensuring information is accurate, complete and up to date, incorporating use of Dynamics and CEMAR.
- Maintain and manage commercial registers, including subcontract account register, contractual correspondence, task order issues, corporate social responsibility, efficiencies and other contract records.
- Prepare, maintain and distribute commercial reports and management information for Operational Board meetings, commercial reviews and Head Office reporting requirements.
- Co-ordinate reports on Target Costs, Green Claims, efficiencies and other key commercial performance measures.
This role will be a good fit for you if:
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Highly proficient in Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well within a team and contribute and support achievement of mutual goals and deadlines
- Experience of Microsoft Dynamics and CEMAR (beneficial)
- Experience within construction industry
- Commercial / account experience desirable but not essential
