This key role is to co-ordinate the activities of Essex Tennis in line with the business plan, as defined by the Trustees, liaising with Team Leaders, Trustees, Clubs and the LTA to ensure that the charity achieves its objectives and targets in addition to complying with the requirements of the LTA. The role would suit a proactive, self-motivated person adept at problem solving and sometimes working under tight deadlines. This role is a full-time position and is primarily office based at the Essex Tennis Office in Redbridge Sports and Leisure.
Key Activities
- Overall responsibility for day to day management of the Essex Tennis office and co-ordination with all teams to ensure the smooth operation of Essex Tennis.
- Supporting the development of the business plans and monitoring progress.
- Ensure that returns and deadlines together with the funding model requirements from LTA are met.
- Supporting Team leaders as required.
- Ensure that Essex Tennis is compliant in all regulatory matters.
- Monitor and review internal processes for effectiveness and efficiency.
- In conjunction with the Chair manage the office team and their requirements.
- Attend Trustee and other meetings, as agreed with Chair, presentation preparation, agenda organisation, taking and preparation of minutes for circulation within agreed timescales, when required by the Chair.
- Provide support to the county safeguarding officer as required.
- Occasional event organisation and support, which may include evening and weekend working.
- Liaise with and attend LTA meetings and its Forums as required.
- Visit Club and venues as required.

- Strong initiative and demonstrated ability to lead a team.
- Good relationship management, with excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
- Excellent personal organisational skills and ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, IT competent with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Good business acumen.
- Proven track record of delivery in an administrative environment.
