Please note this opportunity is being offered on a part time basis working 22.2 hours per week with a pro rata salary of up to £20,800 per annum.

The successful candidate will be required to deliver training throughout the Mid Essex area. ACL Essex is the largest provider of adult education in the county. Our aim is to provide learners with as many ways to flourish as possible, to be there in communities across Essex, to make a difference to residents and businesses, so they can make a difference for themselves and to the places that they live in.

We are seeking a Vocational Trainer to deliver engaging Business and Management courses to our adult learners in a supportive community learning environment. You'll help our learners to build practical skills, confidence, and employability. This role plays a vital part in ensuring ACL provides a modern, responsive and employer-informed learning offer that supports individual achievement, community inclusion and workforce development.

Accountabilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, inclusive and engaging teaching, learning and assessment within a designated vocational area, both in person and online, to ensure learners achieve planned outcomes.
  • Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and learning materials that reflect sector practice, employer expectations and awarding body criteria to provide relevant and compliant learning experiences.
  • Prepare learners for assessment, ensuring timely completion and achievement of qualifications and professional standards.
  • Design and adapt delivery to meet individual learning needs and embed English, maths, digital and employability skills where appropriate.
