At Castle Point Leisure, our classes are more than just workouts – they are the highlight of our members’ day. We are looking for a Wellbeing Group Exercise Instructor who is passionate about the Whole-Person approach. Your mission is to deliver inclusive, high‑energy, and soul‑lifting sessions that improve physical strength, foster social connection, and boost mental health.
Key Wellbeing Responsibilities
- Holistic Class Experience
- The “DOSE” Factor: Design and lead sessions that intentionally trigger the body's natural feel‑good chemicals: Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin, and Endorphins.
- Versatile Delivery: Lead a diverse range of heart‑healthy and mind‑clearing sessions, including:
- Les Mills Body Pump: Building functional strength for daily life.
- Aqua & Active Aerobics: Creating low‑impact, joyful movement for all ages.
- Indoor Cycling: Driving cardiovascular health and mental resilience.
- A Sanctuary for Health: Maintain a safe, welcoming, and hazard‑free environment.
- Intuitive Monitoring: Watch for more than just technique; stay attuned to participant fatigue, mood, and confidence, offering a supportive word exactly when it’s needed.
- The Social Pillar: Actively encourage the social side of our classes—helping new members find friends and promoting the post‑class “café culture” to combat loneliness.
- Inspiring Longevity: Promote classes and Health & Wellbeing, helping members see their fitness as a lifelong journey rather than a short‑term fix.
- Retention through Rapport: Use your personality and enthusiasm to build “trusted and enduring relationships,” making members look forward to every visit.
- Advocacy: Act as a wellbeing ambassador for Castle Point Borough Council, representing our values of Trust, Respect, Customer Focus and Continuous Learning.
- Professional Wellness Standards Evolution: Attend wellbeing‑focused training and development to keep your routines “fresh” and evidence‑based.
- Integrity: Maintain all certifications and administrative tasks with a “Quality First” mindset, ensuring our community receives the gold‑standard care they deserve.
