Permanent, Term Time – 6:40 hours per week (approximately 35 minutes in the morning and 45 minutes in the afternoon) throughout the 39 weeks of the academic year.

Pay: £13.46 per hour.

Location: Felsted Primary School, Watch House Green, Great Dunmow CM6 3EB.

Responsibilities
  • Have regard for the needs of people with disabilities, especially mobility‑impaired people using the crossing.
  • Maintain regular contact with the schools served.
  • Regularly assess risks at the crossing site, identify problems and report defects to the supervisor.
  • Assist in preparing reports on accidents, failures to stop and other incidents at the crossing.
  • Ensure all uniform and equipment are kept in good condition and request replacements when needed.
  • Give clear signals to drivers to stop traffic and maintain stopping until the road is clear of pedestrians.
Qualifications
  • Required to hold a driving licence and have access to a vehicle, or to meet the role’s mobility requirements by other means.
