Overview

Essex County Council are delighted to be advertising the role of Physical Activity Coordinator on behalf of Castle Point Borough Council. Location: across all of Castle Point Estate. Salary: Grade 4: £26,873 - £28,282 per annum. Working Hours: 22.5 hours per week. Contract Type: 24 month Fixed term contract. Number of Positions: 1. DBS Check: Enhanced. Closing Date: 05/10/2025.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a local physical activity strategy aligned with SEPP goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners including Wellbeing Ambassadors, Social Prescribers, and School Sports Partnerships.
  • Lead marketing and communications for the SEPP locally.
  • Map existing physical activity provision and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Promote equality and diversity in all physical activity initiatives.
  • Support community engagement and capacity building within the voluntary sector.
  • Gather insights into barriers to physical activity and help design inclusive solutions.
