The predicted salary is between 12 - 14 £ per hour.
We currently have a part‑time position at Great Notley Country Park. One role averaging 14.48 hours per week (769 hours per year on an annualised contract). The working pattern operates on a rolling rota, so flexibility is essential. This role includes regular weekend working.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contribute to the daily operation of the parks by ensuring all car park vehicle access points are open at publicised times and securely closed when the site is closed.
- Ensure all facilities, including toilets, buildings and storage areas, are secure and designated areas are available as needed.
- Assist with maintenance of the building and park, including painting, putting up signage, weeding and cutting back foliage.
- Maintain the cleanliness of facilities, including toilets, litter picking and bin clearance.
- Support general operational activities as required.
- Complete relevant checks such as Health and Safety checks within the park and complete all relevant paperwork in line with procedures.
- Engage with customers to consider and improve the visitor experience; address issues and problems involving visitors that occur within a Country Park.
- Work towards individual and shared targets and objectives defined annually within the performance management framework.
- Perform any additional duties reasonably requested that are commensurate with the level of the role and responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Education: RQF Level 2 (GCSE or BTech) or equivalent by experience.
- Practical maintenance experience is desirable.
- Experience of working with members of the public or customers delivering excellent customer service.
- Evidence of good communication skills with the ability to deliver information and advice.
- Experience of working within a team and supporting team members to deliver local objectives.
Other Requirements
- Mobile throughout an operational area; post holder must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle, or meet the role’s mobility requirements through other means.
- If the role requires a DBS check, you will be required to register with the DBS update service.
