Essex County Council is seeking experienced Organisational Design Consultants for an initial 6-month period to support the council through a period of significant change. The roles involve supporting senior leadership in delivering organisational design and transformation projects, including:
- Designing target operating models (TOMs), organizational charts, and conducting gap analyses
- Aligning services to strategy, clarifying roles and responsibilities, and developing cross-functional working models
- Supporting restructuring plans, business cases, and consultation materials
- Creating job descriptions, person specifications, and role grading aligned with reward frameworks
- Planning workforce resources and analyzing skills gaps
- Providing data insights through diagnostics, effectiveness metrics, and benchmarking
- Establishing governance and decision-making frameworks
The Experience You Will Bring:
- Degree-level education in organisational development, business improvement, HR, or related fields
- Professional membership of CIPD at Chartered level or working towards it
- Experience managing complex structural and process changes using a consultancy approach
