Braintree District Council is embarking on an exciting transformation journey and move into a unitary Authority in 2028 and we are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Learning and Development Business Partner to play a pivotal role in building a high-performing, future-ready workforce. This is more than just a job – it’s a unique opportunity to lead change, inspire growth, and embed a culture of continuous learning across the organisation.
In this role, you will be designing and delivering innovative learning solutions that align with our transformation objectives. You will lead on leadership development, coaching, mentoring and equality, diversity and inclusion-focused programmes.
You will also oversee our Apprenticeship Programme, ensuring we make the most of the levy and maintain strong partnerships with training providers. With a focus on digital learning, you will manage our Learning Management System and champion self-directed development across the Council.
We are looking for someone with a CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience, and a strong track record of delivering impactful learning programmes. Experience in managing apprenticeships, working with training providers and using digital learning tools is desirable. You will need excellent facilitation, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills, along with a creative, data-driven mindset.
