North Herts Council is seeking an I.T. Application Development Officer to support its digital transformation initiatives. The role involves designing, developing, integrating, and supporting various technical projects to enhance service delivery and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support applications and database products on Windows-based virtual hardware.
  • Manage third-party upgrades, including Oracle and MSSQL, and install vendor-supplied patches.
  • Collaborate within a small team, providing excellent customer service.
  • Develop system integrations, analyze data, and create business applications using C#.
  • Develop integrations with third-party systems using RESTful APIs, SOAP, XML, JSON, CSV, and SQL.
  • Work with technology stacks such as WinForms, Web, ASP.NET Core, .NET Framework/.NET 6-9, Blazor, WPF, and .NET MAUI.
  • Troubleshoot issues, learn new skills, and maintain a focus on security.
