This is a part-time, temporary position offering between 29 and 35 hours per week, starting immediately and lasting for a period of six months.This is a hybrid role with the expectation of working of being in the office one day per week (Wednesday).If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for working with numbers, this is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a dynamic finance team within local government.

Responsibilities

  • Monthly preparation of the Rent Schedule and checks against the Terrier. Yearly total of 915 invoices
  • Raising Purchase Orders for legal fees, marketing fees, consultancy fees, service charges
  • Raising invoices to tenants for miscellaneous charges, back rent, rent reviews, as per requirements of the surveyors
  • Payment of Invoices including receipting of Purchase Orders
  • Verifying and challenging service charges and head rent calculations.
  • Liaising with credit control and monitoring overdue invoices to reduce tenant late payments and recover outstanding amounts.
  • Dealing with Insurance Claims and Recharges.
  • Assist in maintaining financial records and ledgers.
  • Process invoices, payments, and expense reports accurately.
  • Support month-end closing processes and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial data.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible part-time hours within a supportive work environment.
