Following the promotion of Nicole Wood to Chief Executive, we are seeking a new Executive Director of Corporate Services and Transformation. A critical part of the corporate leadership team, you will lead our Procurement, Digital, Legal and Assurance, Transformation, and Finance services.
As Essex County Council embarks on what we know will be the final phase of its organisational history, and we move into a new and exciting future for the county of Essex, you will be responsible for ensuring that our organisation transitions seamlessly into that future, helping us to harness its opportunities for the residents and businesses we serve.
A seasoned and experienced local government professional, you will already have experience of significant corporate leadership across at least some of the professions within the remit of this post. Critically, you will have a track record of driving major transformation and change within a local government context.
Above all, we are looking for somebody who is actively excited about helping the county of Essex exploit the opportunities the future offers through devolution and local government reorganisation.
In addition to your salary, this role offers a number of benefits including Local Government Pension Scheme, Private Medical Insurance, 31 days annual leave and a £7000 car allowance.
