About the Role: Permanent, part time (18.5 hours per week pro rata salary up to £17,334 per annum). The position is based in Basildon, fixed‑base worker, covering the South Essex area. Closing Date: 14th May 2026.
The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality, inclusive, engaging teaching, training and assessment across a range of vocational areas and qualification levels for adult and children’s care settings. This includes planning, delivering and assessing learning in line with awarding body and quality assurance requirements, maintaining high expectations and inclusive approaches for all learners.
Accountabilities:- Deliver high‑quality, inclusive and engaging teaching, learning and assessment within a designated vocational area, both in person and online.
- Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and learning materials that reflect sector practice, employer expectations and awarding body criteria.
- Design and adapt delivery to meet individual learning needs and embed English, maths, digital and employability skills.
- Use diagnostic and formative assessment tools to track progress, provide constructive feedback and support improvement.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance, safeguarding and Prevent, and promote equality of opportunity and wellbeing across all service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of learner attendance, progress and achievement using ACL‑approved systems.
- Ability to adapt delivery for diverse learner needs.
- Competent in the use of e‑learning platforms, digital tools and online delivery methods.
- Commitment to inclusive education, safeguarding and continuous improvement.
The role requires you to be mobile across the operational area. You must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle, or an alternative arrangement that meets the role’s mobility requirements.
DBS Requirements:Should a DBS check be required you will be required to register with the DBS update service.
