Drainage Technician 3 Month Contract Outside IR35 £300 per day Umbrella. Closing Date: Monday 21st July 2025 Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Rochford District Council in recruiting a Drainage Technician on an initial 3-month contract. As the Drainage Technician you will provide advice to other council departments, elected members, outside agencies, developers/applicants, and the public on matters related to drainage and flood risk. We are looking for a confident and professional individual, to assist Environmental Health colleagues in relation to breaches of planning and land drainage legislation. You will also be required to check that on-site drainage works are compliant with approved plans. This role will also include duties such as; * Preparing case files, and completing standard legal forms, * Attending court to give evidence as an expert witness in legal and formal proceedings in relation to breach of legal notices and requirements. * Prepare and collate the necessary documentation and statements for legal, to enable cost recovery. As a Drainage Technician, you will play a vital role within the Council and will be responsible for drafting policies and procedures. These documents will outline the rules and responsibilities for Technician’s and will guide colleagues on the processes that they will need to follow in order to protect the Council, themselves and residents
