We have an exciting opportunity for a Contracts & Projects Technical Officer to provide support to the Contracts & Projects Manager within our Operations Service, ensuring the smooth delivery of projects and supporting all contracts. This role has full responsibility for smaller projects, whilst also supporting on capital and annual plan projects.
The post holder will also support the team with managing project finances including raising purchase orders, processing invoices, updating financial trackers and budget sheets, alongside maintaining and updating the contracts register, managing contract renewals and contract support within agreed timeframes.
Other responsibilities in this varied role will include assisting with the programme of inspections of operational sites across the District to ensure routine maintenance and repairs are completed on time and to specification, and supporting the management of applications for Traffic Regulation Orders and Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders. Plus providing support to all event requests in our parks and open spaces.
The Operations Service is fast paced and varied, and this role will suit a highly motivated individual with a positive, can-do approach. To be successful in this role, you will need to be equally happy to work in an office environment or outside all year round. Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills are essential; and proven IT skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and Power Point are a must.
The successful candidate must have a full valid driving licence, an acceptable driving record and access to their own transport to enable travel to a variety of sites across the district.
