Tendring District Council is recruiting a Principal Surveyor (Property and Projects) on a temporary, full‐time contract. This initial 3‐month temporary role requires a presence in the office a minimum of two days per week.

Key Responsibilities
- Managing estates, property transactions, and development and construction projects.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory and corporate requirements.
- Providing high‐quality professional advice to senior officers and Members.
- Supporting service continuity and managing live project caseloads.
- Contributing to reporting and decision‐making.
- Preparing basic specifications for repair works.
- Providing leadership within the team, including deputising for the Property and Projects Manager when required.
Experience & Qualifications
- A relevant surveying qualification or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication and decision‐making skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
- A proven track record working in the public sector.
- The ability to attend the Clacton on sea office for a minimum of two days per week.
