Permanent, Full Time | £55,892 to £69,241 per annum | Chelmsford | Fixed‑base worker

Family Solutions is an intensive Early Help intervention service that works with families for up to 12 months, building on the Supporting Families model of practice. The team is based in Galleywood and reports to the Service Manager.

Accountabilities
  • Lead a team of social workers and family workers to deliver a high‑quality professional service with positive outcomes.
  • Accountable for individual performance, quality assurance, resources and budgets.
  • Provide professional and practice supervision and coach team members to enhance quality of practice.
  • Develop the training and tactical service delivery plan for the team.
  • Oversee and quality‑assure family assessments and plans.
  • Respond to complaints and feedback from families in accordance with policy.
  • Lead inter‑agency collaborative working, developing effective approaches with partners, communities and voluntary sector.
  • Provide advice and guidance for complex cases in line with legislative and organisational standards.
The Experience You Will Bring
  • A recognised social work qualification (Diploma, degree or Master’s, CQSW, CSS or equivalent) and current registration with Social Work England.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development within relevant competency frameworks.
  • Significant experience in a social care setting dealing with challenging social and family situations.
  • Experience supervising social workers/family workers and building a high‑performing, diverse team.
  • Experience leading change in a complex environment to deliver best practice.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills with partners, agencies and the local community.
  • Clear decision‑making ability to highlight and limit risks in intervention.

The role requires mobility across Essex; a driving licence and vehicle are essential.
